Plain terms for a small house that makes clothing to order.

1. Who you are dealing with

This site is operated by (“we”, “the house”), India. GSTIN . Using this site means you accept these terms.

2. Orders are requests until we confirm them

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order personally by email. We may decline an order — for example if a fabric has run out or an address cannot be served — and if we do, anything you have paid is refunded in full.

3. Everything is made to order

Nothing is cut until your order is confirmed. Making times are stated on the Shipping page and are honest estimates, not guarantees; a handloom is not a machine that can be hurried. If we will be materially late we tell you as soon as we know.

4. Prices & payment

• Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include GST where applicable.
• Shipping is complimentary worldwide. Import duties outside India are the recipient’s responsibility.
• We may correct an obvious pricing error before cutting begins; you may cancel for a full refund if we do.

5. Natural materials

Our garments are made from natural fibres and, in many cases, plant dyes. Colour varies slightly between batches and screens; slubs and weave irregularities are inherent to handloom cloth. These are characteristics of the material, not defects, and are not grounds for return.

6. Fit, remakes and returns

Our Returns & Remakes policy forms part of these terms. In short: within 14 days we alter, recut or replace at our cost. Bespoke pieces cut to personal measurements cannot be returned unless the fault is ours.

7. The Atelier

Membership is free and requires no password; your details are held in your own browser. You are responsible for the device you use. We may end a membership that is used abusively or fraudulently.

8. Our words and images

All photography, text, garment designs and the elemental sigil [ VA ] [ YA ] [ NA ] are the property of the house. You may share them; you may not sell them, or use them to represent another business.

9. Liability

We stand fully behind our garments and our making. Beyond replacing, remaking or refunding the garment in question, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of have exclusive jurisdiction.
